Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I’m originally from Barcelona but I’ve been living in London for the past four years. I’m a camera trainee so I work on film sets helping the camera crew. I’m obsessed with traveling and making LomoKino films of every place I go. I also play the ukulele in my spare time.

“Snapeskinbury Weddikino”

Please tell us more about Lomokovi Films.

I created the website Lomokovi Films to share my passion for the LomoKino. I wanted to help people who aren’t filmmakers to create little stories about special events in their lives. So far I’ve filmed two weddings and I’m currently working on a video for a couple who are about to be parents for the first time.

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Creative, handcrafted, FUN, memories, adventures

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

I’d say it’s my favorite thing in the world… if I didn’t like playing the ukulele just as much.

“Snokino”

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

I saw it at the Lomography shop and it was love at first sight. Being a filmmaker myself it seemed like the perfect thing to add to my collection of cameras.

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

The LomoKino is such a unique camera that everywhere I go, there’s always someone who asks me what it is and how it works. It’s a great tool for making new friends, if you ask me!

“Valenkino”

If you could film any person alive or dead, real or fictional, with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

A bit cliché, but Audrey Hepburn! I think she would fit perfectly with the style LomoKino cameras give. it just makes sense.

Kindly share with us any LomoKino movie that you love the most.

“Dream of a mermaid” by @anya-barkauskas

I love the way she integrates animation in her videos and the locations are just incredible!

I tried to do a similar thing with my video “Lomostory,” but this one is so clear and brilliant.

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film, perhaps?

I’m currently working on a video about my hometown, Barcelona, and a video for a couple who is having a baby soon. I’m also going to Oslo next week and I already have some film ready to go!

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Use sound in your videos! I think LomoKino videos are so much more than just lovely looking images. A good song or voiceover makes the video take on a whole new perspective. I can’t edit the videos I make until I’ve found the appropriate song first!

Any last words?

Shoot, shoot, shoot until the world runs out of film!
