The Mad Russian Scientist Returns
The Mad Russian Scientist Returns
Greetings, fellow Lomographer! Let me introduce myself to you, it’s been a while. Fondly known as The Mad Russian Scientist, I have spent the last few years locked away in a very secret bunker working on some exciting analogue projects. Luckily for me, my work involves trying out all the Lomo gear. Here is my up-to-date journal logging the best products from my recent trials!
Lomography Color Negative 800 Film
Living in a bunker does have its downsides…I haven’t seen natural light in, well, a long time! Luckily, Lomography keeps me well stocked with rolls of ISO 800 Color Negative film in 35 mm and 120 format. It’s the perfect tool to record my experiments because even in my dark bunker – I can see every detail!

Simple Use Reusable Film Camera
A firm favorite for its simplicity, I found it to be highly effective. I enjoyed the portability – fitting easily into my lab coat pocket for easy use throughout my day. Plus, it has some great creative features like colored gel flash filters so I can take lots of crazy shots. I can even order bundles of up to 12 fantastic Simple Use cameras! I do tend to lose a few to unforeseen circumstances – my experiments can get a little, explosive…! This way, I’ve always got a replacement ready to go.

LomoChrome Metropolis ISO 100–400
As a scientist, I am fascinated by the special chemical formula used to create this exciting film. I just can’t for the life of me figure out what that formula is! LomoChrome Metropolis produces such wonderfully desaturated colors, popping contrasts and muted tones. Further photographic study outside the bunker is required. Perhaps you can help me? Upload your street and portrait photos on your LomoHome or on social media with #HeyLomography and you can be part of my research into this fantastic film!
